For the Cauliflower Fritters:

  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup cornstarch
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp red chili powder
    Salt, to taste
    Water, as needed
    Oil, for deep frying
    For the Manchurian Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp oil
    1 tbsp garlic, minced
    1 tbsp ginger, minced
    2 green chilies, finely chopped
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    1 small capsicum, finely chopped
    2 tbsp soy sauce
    2 tbsp tomato ketchup
    1 tsp red chili paste
    1/2 tsp sugar
    Salt, to taste
    1/4 cup water
    1 tbsp cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water)
    Spring onion greens, for garnish

1. First of all we will clean the cauliflower florets and after that we will cut them into bite-sized pieces. and rinse them thoroughly with water and pat them dry. let the florets rest in salt water for 3-4 minutes, this will help to get rid of any impurities.Once rested, discard the salt water & rinse them with fresh water & discard the water again.

2. To make the batter for frying, add equal amounts of refined flour & corn flour  Now in a mixing bowl, we will take all purpose flour and combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, red chili powder, and salt according to taste. and Mix it well and after that we will make batter and  slowly we will add water to make a thick batter.

4. Now in batter we will dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, making sure cauliflower floret is coated from all sides.

5. Now we will take a fry pan or a kadai and transfer oil in fry pan.

6. When Heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai. When the oil is hot, now gently we will drop the cauliflower florets into the hot oil and fry until they will golden brown. and after that drain on a paper towel to remove the excess oil.

8. Now we will take a separate fry pan and In a separate fry pan, we will add 2 tbsp of oil and heat over medium-high heat. when oil is hot at this stage we will add the minced garlic, ginger, and green chilies paste and sauté for a few seconds.

9. Now we will add the finely chopped onion and chopped capsicum and sauté for 3-4 minutes or until the vegetables are slightly soft and crunchy.

10. Whwe our vegetable would we crunchy than we will add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili paste, sugar, and salt. and stir and mix it well and cook for a 2 minute.

11. Now we will add 1/2 cup of water and bring the mixture to a roling boil.

12. We will prepare cornstarch slurry.

13. And we will add this cornstarch slurry to the pan and stir it well. and Cook for a few minutes until the sauce is thickens.

14. So our gobi manchurian sauce is ready at this stage.

15 We will add the fried cauliflower florets into the sauce and mix it well, for making sure that each  cauliflower floret is coated with the sauce.

16. So friends our gobi manchurian  is ready to serve.

17. Now we will Garnish with the spring onion greens and chopped coriender leaves and serve hot with rice or noodles.
